Monday's Must Have - Film

I know this may seem like an odd "must have", considering I shoot digital 99% of the time. But I have a soft spot in my heart for film. I love the look of it, I love developing it, and printing it. So why don't I do it anymore? I don't have the time to devote to develop and print myself. Shooting some film is on my 101 List, and maybe I will have to make a point of doing it this weekend!

My favorite black and white films are those with higher ISOs or speeds. This results in increased grain, but I just love it. My two favorite films are Fuji Neopan 1600 and Kodak Delta 3200. They are perfect for weddings, maternity and of course, kids.
Here's my nephew, a few years ago shot with Fuji Neopan 1600 - the grain is oh so yummy!

There is something so nostalgic about film. I miss it too!
DM - You may have inspired me to dust off my Nikon N50 and start shooting. :) Can you believe pictures of my engagement in 2003 are still in there? But as Cory keeps reminding me, the idea of the photos are probably much better than the photos themselves...what can you expect from a random guy walking by on the street? :) And it is neat thinking of the camera and film sort of frozen in time on one of the happiest days of my life.
